Save energy and money, increase well-being
German Windows energy saving features

With a laminated and double-glazing windows, it’s so easy to save energy, there’s no reason not to do it. Aside from helping the nature, you promote a healthy environment at home and cut your electricity bills by 30% to 60%

LESS HEAT

Properly insulated windows reduce the amount of heat that enters your house.

SAVE MONEY

With less heat coming in, your aircondition will consume less energy, saving you money.

BETTER ENVIRONMENT

With less airconditioning, your home not only becomes quieter, your air becomes healthier.

The basic energy saving knownledge
THE FOUR GOLDEN ENERGY SAVING RULES
Povide Shading is the most important task

Protect the glass from direct sun light! Install louvres, concrete shading, or roof overhang with at least 50 cm depth.

Absorbing (SC)

Use coloured glass, the heat will be developed on the glass itself, and transferred to the wall or outside. As darker the glass as better the energy saving. BUT of course, as darker the room as well! We measure the absorbing properties by using the Shading Coefficient “SC.
Reflection (VLR)

Reflective glass prevents the unwanted heat waves to enter the room. Visible light will be transferred. We save energy but keeping the room light and bright. Use glass with lowE (low emissivity) coating, or the old, styled mirror glazing. In Malaysia we have only 6 mm thick lowE glass availible.
Insulation (U)

Insulation is necessary to reduce the energy transmission (cold air) from the room side to the outside. Especially at night, and in case you use air conditioner to cool down your property. We realize insulation on windows under usage of double glazing. As bigger the air- gap as better the insulation. And as lower the U- Value.

General Glazing properties

In Windows we can find SINGLE GLASS, LAMINATED GLASS and INSULATED GLASS.
Below the basic properties and recommendations.

SINGLE
GLASS
NO SAVINGS
LAMINATED
GLASS
LITTLE SAVINGS $
  • as darker as better
  • use reflective surface like "lowE" or "mirror"
  • inner PVB layer reduce UV light impact
DOUBLE
GLAZING
MORE SAVINGS $$
  • use tinted glass
  • use reflective lowE surface
WIDE DOUBLE
GLAZING
HIGHEST SAVINGS $$$
  • use tinted glass
  • use reflective lowE surface
  • increase the (air) gap in-between the glass
